Well, I have finally decided on my new knitting project and it is sure to be a challenge! My Nils wants a new wool sweater and we have been looking for a suitable pattern for some time.
After finding a pattern, style and color of yarn that he liked...I have begun this huge undertaking.
This sweater will test several of my knitting skills...not to mention my knowledge.
For one it has a knitting chart...which has already caused me to FROG 5 times! UGH! Secondly, it is knit in pieces and I will have to put them together at the end. And lastly, there are arm holes in which separately knitted sleeves will have to be inserted.
Needless to say, I am a bit intimidated by the whole process...but encouraged that I can overcome all of these challenges to make a beautifully warm sweater for my Nils!
After all, I have already figured out the knitting chart now...and I am once again well on my way...and if I say so myself...it looks very nice, indeed!
The back of the sweater:
If I am not knitting...I am out on my bike! I am averaging approximately 100 kilometers each week...riding back and forth into the city now with ease.
Together with the kids we have been hiking up into the forest a lot lately...taking our lunch along and making a campfire.
The holidays are over now for a few more weeks...but we are all looking so forward to Summer and the hope that there will be warmth and SUN in Norway. If the last days are any indication, it is looking a bit worrying.
Cold and Wet! UGH!
